Halkapınar railway station is a major transfer hub in İzmir, Turkey. Halkapınar is currently the only station in Turkey where a direct transfer between the railway and a city's metro system exists. The station is served by the Turkish State Railways to Bandırma, Ankara and Uşak as well as İZBAN to Aliağa. Transfer is available to the adjacent İzmir Metro's Halkapınar station as well as ESHOT's two bus terminals for city buses.

Halkapınar has two island platforms with 4 tracks as well as a small freight yard in the west side of the station. Platform 1 on the east side, is a high platform for İZBAN trains to Alsancak and Aliağa. Platform 2 is a low-lying platform on the west side is for intercity and regional trains operated by the Turkish State Railways. There are 4 tracks used for storing freight cars, with a branch line to the Port of İzmir and a container terminal adjacent to the station.
